Ingredients
Taco Meat
½ kg minced beef
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp salt
¾ tsp turmeric
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp Tex mex
1 tsp dried or fresh basil
4 tsp tomato paste
¾ cup oil
Other
Taco shells
Salsa (recipe in highlights)
Sour cream
Sliced lettuce
Shredded cheese
Preparation
Heat up the oil in a pot. Add the meat and cook for about 2 minutes. Add the onion, garlic and ginger and cook for another minute or so. Then add the chilly powder, salt, turmeric, oregano, Tex mex, basil and tomato paste. Mix well and cook on low for another 15 minutes. Heat up the taco shells 10 mins before serving.
Assembly
Place the meat in the taco shell. Then add the tomato and lettuce. Top with sour cream and cheese!
