Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
1 kg chicken wings (cut in half and remove the wing tip)
½ cup vinegar
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp paprika
1 tsp pepper
1 cup milk mixed with 2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp hot sauce
Coating
2 cups corn flour
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Sauce
2 tbsp butter
1 cup hot sauce (I used a mix of 3)
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp salt
Preparation
Cut the wings and place them in a large bowl.
Marinate the chicken with all the marinade ingredients and mix well and refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour.
Place the cornflour in a dish and add the spices. Mix well.
When ready to cook, heat up oil in a wok.
Coat the chicken in the cornflour mixture and remember to dust off the excess.
Fry until golden brown. Remove from the wok and place on a paper towel to remove the excess oil.
While you are cooking the chicken, make the sauce. In the sauce pan, heat up the butter. Once melted add the vinegar and the hot sauce, sugar and honey. Cool for about 5 mins till it’s hot.
In a big bowl, place the cooked wings. Pour the sauce on top and toss to combine.
Serve immediately!
