Shrimp Tacos



Ingredients

Shrimps

  • 500 g shrimps

  • 3 tbsp taco seasoning

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder (optional)

  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 

Salsa

  • 2 small chopped avocado 

  • ¼ cup chopped tomato

  • ¼. Up chopped red onion

  • ½ cup canned corn

  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander

  • 1 tbsp green chilli or jalapeño 

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Sauce

  • ¼ cup Greek yoghurt

  • 2 tbsp sour cream

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (or more according to taste)

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • Pinch of cumin powder

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tsp hot sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings

  • Small tortillas 

  • Feta cheese

  • Sliced purple cabbage 

  • Chopped coriander


Preparation

  1. Marinade the shrimp with the taco seasoning, chilli powder, coriander and lemon juice and set aside. 

  2. Prepare the sauce by whisking together the sauce ingredients till slightly runny. Adjust the ingredients according to your taste. 

  3. Prepare the salsa by mixing together the salsa ingredients. 

  4. Cook the shrimp on medium to high heat in olive oil till ready. Set aside.

  5. Heat up the tortilla till slightly brown.

  6. Assemble tacos by putting the shrimp, salsa, cabbage, sauce, and feta cheese on the warmed tortilla. 

  7. Garnish with coriander and serve with lemon wedges! 

  8. Enjoy!
