Sheer Khurma

Ingredients

  • 2 liters milk 

  • 1 can (390 g) evaporated milk 

  • 1 can (390 g) condensed milk 

  • 80-100 g vermicelli (savaiyan) 

  • ¼ cup sugar (more or less to taste) 

  • 1 ½ tsp ground cardamom 

  • 1 tsp saffron 

  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg 

  • 3 tbsp crushed almonds and pistachio (mixed) 

Preparation

  1. In a large pot, add the milk and bring it to a boil on medium-low heat. 

  2. Add the vermicelli. 

  3. Add the can of evaporated milk and stir. 

  4. Add the condensed milk and stir. 

  5. Taste and add the sugar (little at a time) 

  6. Let it cook for about 5 mins till it comes to a slight boil. 

  7. Add the nutmeg, saffron and cardamom. 

  8. Finally, add the crushed almonds and pistachio.
