Korean Fried Rice

Ingredients
12 shrimps peeled and deveined
1 cup jasmine rice (uncooked)
3 tbsp chopped spring onion (whites)
2 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tbsp butter
1 cup shredded nappa cabbage
¼ cup asparagus (chopped)
2 tbsp gochujang paste
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp chilli oil
Sesame seeds and spring onions for garnish
Preparation
Cook the rice according to package instructions. (It’s best to cook the rice a day in advance)
Heat up the butter in a pan and wait till it melts.
Add in the whites of the spring onions and the garlic.
Add in the asparagus and the shrimp.
Sauté till the shrimp changes color.
Add the gochujang paste and mix well.
Add the nappa cabbage and mix it in.
Move everything to the side and add the egg. Let it sit for about a minute before scrambling and mixing.
Add the rice, soy sauce and sugar.
Mix it well and finally add the chilli oil.
Garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds.
