Creamy Mashed Potatoes



Ingredients

  • 4-6 golden potatoes (peeled and quartered)

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp butter + more 

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Cold water

Preparation

  1. Place your potatoes and garlic in a deep pot and cover them with cold water.

  2. Bring the water to a boil and cover and cook till potatoes are softened.

  3. Drain the water and set aside. (You can keep the garlic cloves or discard them if you don’t like too much garlic)

  4. Grate or mash your potatoes using a masher or grater. 

  5. Heat up 1 cup of milk with butter and garlic powder. 

  6. When the milk is starting to bubble up turn off the heat and pour the milk into the potatoes and mix rigorously.  

  7. Season with salt and pepper. 

  8. Move to a serving dish and pour some melted butter on top. 

  9. Enjoy!
