Chilli Garlic Salmon



Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce 

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar 

  • 3 cloves minced garlic 

  • 2 tsp minced ginger 

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 tbsp chilli garlic sauce (NOT KNORR, substitute with sriracha or chilli oil) 

  • 2 salmon steaks 

  • Olive oil 

  • Sesame seed and green onion for serving

Preparation

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the garlic, ginger, soy sauce and rice vinegar to a simmer. Then add the chilli garlic sauce and honey. Remove from the heat and set aside. 

  2. In a frying pan heat up some olive oil and then place the salmon fillets skin side down on the pan. Press them down with a spatula to get the skin extra crispy. 

  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the salmon and brush the sauce on top. 

  4. Once crispy on the bottom, flip them and cook the other side. 

  5. Once ready, brush the salmon once more and garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds. 

  6. Enjoy!
