Beef Teppanyaki

Ingredients

  • ½ pound filet beef 

  • 30 g capsicum (sliced)

  • 15 g onion (cubed) 

  • 40 g cabbage (finely sliced)

  • 50 g bean sprouts 

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce 

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1-2 tbsp butter 

  • 3 cloves garlic ) 

  • 2 tsp black pepper 

  • 1 tbsp corn starch

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil 

  • Spring onions for garnish 

Preparation

  1. In a pan or skillet, fry the sliced garlic till crisp and then remove the garlic. 

  2. In the same oil start to cook the onions and garlic. 

  3. Once fragrant, add the meat and stir. 

  4. Add the black pepper, sugar and salt sauce. 

  5. Add the butter. 

  6. Once the butter has melted, add the cornstarch to thicken the sauce. 

  7. Remove the meat from the pan and then add the cabbage, capsicum, bean sprouts, 1 tbsp of garlic and other veggies. 

  8. Add 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp sesame oil. 

  9. Give it a good stir. 

  10. Plate the meat on a platter, add the veggies and garnish with the crispy garlic and some spring onions.
